The Nature Area is where we do most of our running and environmental work.

 

Homeful Tree

Our homeful tree is on the track of our nature area. Each time we run we go past it. It is a big thick tree with a hollow in the bottom. It is home to all types of animals - spiders, bugs, echidnas, lizards, ants, birds and possums.

We climb the homeful tree sometimes.

 

Stepping Stones

One day a lady called Sue Bell came out and helped us make stepping stones. We started off with some wet cement in ice-cream containers and then we smashed the plates and tiles.We created a mosaic native animal. We left them in the sun to dry. Now they're stepping stones in our nature park.

 

Bat House

Up in the nature area there is a small shed with a broom in it. Some people say it's magic and it belongs to a witch. So now we call it the witch shack and make the little kids scared by making scary noises. Actually, it was put there for bats to live in.
